Since we've been learning about multiples this week, and I've been
For our math journal this week, we completed a "Totally Egg-cellent Multiple" foldable. This was fun and easy. We cut an egg shape, leaving the paper still folded on the left side. We then divided the egg into 9 sections (on the outside and the inside). I recommend colouring the egg before you cut the nine sections on the outside - much easier. The kids had fun decorating the egg, and we got some practice skip counting as a whole class.
We also completed a Frayer model definition for lowest common multiples to add to our math journals.
Next week we're moving on to multiplication and division strategies ... the gears are already turning thinking of new foldables to try.
Happy Easter weekend! We spent a lovely evening at my parents' house last night for dinner. Today my littlest one has dancing and then we'll be dying Easter eggs and doing a fun little craft I've been wanting to try (of course, Pinterest-inspired). Tomorrow we're having my in-laws over for Easter dinner and my husband will be making his famous smoked turkey ... yummy!!! I'm still trying to think of a dessert to make ... what are some of your favourite desserts for Easter?
