Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done. for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I don't know about you, but I love getting out of the house, away from all of the daily tasks (cooking, cleaning, homework, etc.), and planting flowers in my flower garden. The excitement all of watching all of the colors appear is such a thrill.

I especially love planting bulbs. It's so easy to do, and I always get fantastic flowers the very next season with hardly any work. I loved being able to plant bulbs every season when we lived in our house. Tulips, dahlias, calla lilies...We had all kinds of flowers popping up from bulbs and I just loved it.

Spring is going to be here before we know it, which means it's almost time to plant the bulbs for the summer. As a beginning planter, I thought last year how helpful it would be to have some kind of resource to guide me through the planting process. What kind of bulbs can I buy for my lighting? What time of year should I plant them? How do I best take care of them?

DipDropDone.com has all of the answers. And what a fun website! It's so easy to have all of these questions and more answered. I began going over this website by learning about what a bulb actually is. Quite interesting. And there is an entire section to help me pick out what bulbs I want to plant and what time of year to plant them. It also tells me where I can plant them so I'll get the best results. It's so awesome! If you're a bulb planter, you should definitely check out this website. visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more

I love the videos of the three ladies. (If you visit the site you'll know what I mean.) Watch them, these women are a riot! I found myself most relating with Marcy the Super Mom, as she's standing there decorating her cupcakes discussing her son's science project. That has me written all over it! I loved her idea of color coding some of her flowers to match her kids' favorite colors. This gets the kids involved and excited about the gardening as well. I love it!

Seeing as how we recently moved into an apartment, I have been a little bummed that I won't be able to have a flower garden. On DigDropDone.com there is an entire section about bulb inspiration and different ways to plant them. I loved the idea of planting bulbs in rain boots and placing them outside on the patio. That would be perfect for our location and look so cute.

And to top it all off, for every share on Twitter, "Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done." will donate $1.00 to Rebuilding Together - the nation’s leading nonprofit, working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities. Too awesome!

In addition to all of the great tips and information on bulb planting, the "Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done." is having an awesome contest. They're giving away a $5,000 yard makeover to one lucky winner. Doesn't that sound amazing? All you need to do is submit a photo of your yard at Curbside Chaos.com.

Curbside Chaos

The lucky winner will not only receive a $5,000 yard makeover, but they will also receive a visit from Taniya Nayak (@TaniyaNayak on Twitter). Taniya will go through and give you tips on the best way to update your yard. Wouldn't that be awesome? She will give you creative ideas for incorporating flower bulbs into your landscape.

While you're there, be sure to try out the Garden Guru Tool located in the bottom left of the screen. This tool will help you figure out which bulb is perfect for your home depending upon where you live.

Here's how to use the tool:

Step 1 – Pick your Country
Step 2 – Pick your location within that Country
Step 3 – Choose the type of bulb you want to grow
Step 4 – Check out the Planting Guide that shows you how to plant your bulbs.

And just like that you have a quick guide on what to do with your favorite bulbs where you live. This is what my Planting Guide looks like if I want to plant daffodil bulbs to bloom this May:

I love that bulbs aren't just for gardeners and that someone like me can easily plant a beautiful garden. Bulbs are extremely simple plants that can be used in a surprising number of ways. Bulbs can be used in anything from interior and exterior design, to creative gift giving and decoration, to entertaining activities for children and families.

Head over and visit "Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done." for your bulb planting this year. You will love all of the information and ease of the website to ensure you're getting the most out of your flower garden this year. I'm so excited to get planting!
