The topic, "What Home Means to Me" is a timely one as we work on our very slow renovation. What I've come to realize is that the "slow" (imposed by money and time) is actually a good thing as my tastes have changed significantly as we go. But what has remained strong is what I would like our home to be and what home means to me. Home means comfortable, welcoming, fun and a place to feel safe and loved, a place to relax. Here are a few pictures I've pinned on my pinterest board of what that might look like. From the lure of a week away at a cottage to the luxury of a cosy comfy bed at home on a rainy cool night. I want our home to be sprinkled with all these things but most especially to be welcoming to all who visit.
