The Art of the Display | Marcus Hay Studio for DWR

I've been following New York stylist, Marcus Hay on Pinterest for a while now and recently he pinned a few pages he styled for DWR's September catalog.  I love how he always seems to manage to pull colours from various pieces into a space without overwhelming it (and usually if you look hard enough), you'll often find something retro (like a radio or clock), which seems to bring balance  —making things seem less new, and more lived in.  Like above: Taking queue from the different coloured clips and backs from the Muuto Stacked Shelving System, he adds just enough yellow, grey and accenting coral to create an interesting vignette. Note the retro clock and camera to balance out the new.
