Poppytalk is 8 + an Announcement!

English Bay, Vancouver, B.C. (Taken by me)

Poppytalk is coming around to it's 8th year online at the end of this month (isn't that crazy)? It's been quite a ride, it has; we have grown so much, met some amazing people (both on and offline), collaborated with incredible talent and have had heaps of fun along the way!

So today we are thrilled to announce that finally after a long and patient wait, we have secured poppytalk.com (YAY)! It was no easy feat (a process that seemed to take forever) and you will now notice we have moved the blog off blogspot and over to its' new home officially today! We have also moved over the marketplace to it's new url a bit back and onto the same site. The market is now located at marketplace.poppytalk.com.

With that in mind, we also have been looking at things here on the blog and have decided to circle back to our humble beginnings a bit, and make a fesh start.  As much as we loved having our dispatch, food and biz contributors, we have decided to return to just me posting on things, along with a little help from a few DIY contributors now and again and Janis of Pinecone Camp popping in from time to time with special features she does so well. We will still post dispatches when inspiration is on the radar, as well as food, but for now we feel we wish to reconnect more intimately with you our readers and do most of the posting ourselves.

We want to take this time to thank all of our amazing and talented contributors for past columns and contributions.  It was an honour to have them here with us and we encourage you to visit their own little homes online :The Beautiful Project, Lisa SolomonHulaseventy, Camilla Engman, Coco Cupcakes, Anamu, Zero the One, Kickcan and Conkers, Serena Olivieri, Fair Morning Blue, Ouistitine, From China Village, itswhatimintoPolkaros, Handcrafted Consulting

And finally and most importantly, we want to thank you our readers for hanging out with us, whether you're just new visiting here, or have been here from the beginning, you are what makes us tick and keeps us wanting to write and make things to write about. We hope we can connect with you more and more in the future! The blog never started as a business, and although it has developed into one, the original thrust was to catalogue and make things that inspired us online, and we hope to continue that focus as we go forward into our 9th year!  If you'd like to update your readers, we would be honoured to be included again on your list! Thank you for including us in your daily visits, and feel free to say hi once in a while in the comments section (it's always nice to see you there)!
