A couple of Sundays ago I was at Olsen, the famous nordic restaurant in the neighborhood of Palermo in Buenos Aires. Have you heard of it? I really liked all the interior deco with its puritan scandinavian ambiance, but above all i was infatuated with the copper pendant lamps that hung from the tall tall ceilings. When I got home and googled-it and came to discover that it was David Derksen´s work, a Danish designer that has dedicated the last years of his career to extend his collection of copper pieces into a series of lamp shades. They are all made with .1mm copper foils giving the lamp an overall fragile yet industrial look. A total keeper.
