Hola, friends! Today, it is my privilege to bring you a little studio tour of gifted Austin artist, Natalie Davis. Many of you already know Natalie from her successful home accessories shop, Miss Natalie. Others will recognize her as the talented designer behind Canoe leather goods.
Natalie is also a graphic design professor as well as the blogger at Tool and Tack, where she highlights artisans and rebels of all kinds. Yes, Natalie does all this, and somehow in her spare time, she produces pop up shops - five last year - and other curated events.
Currently, Natalie is collaborating with Abby Powell from Abby Try Again to produce Feliz, a weekend-long celebration of handmade. Here is my post about Feliz from last month. There are two days left to apply to be a vendor at the Feliz sale, so if you're interested in participating, go for it!
I am completely smitten with these hand tooled leather key chains that Natalie made, especially the shields. They remind me of my Texas childhood - expansive pastures, windmills and country music.
