Christmas Cracker D.I.Y.

Contributor post by Janis Nicolay of Pinecone Camp

Hello. Janis here, from Pinecone Camp. How's your holiday season going? Hope it's stress-free!

For over a decade, I've been making Christmas crackers for our family dinner. This year I'm putting a bit of a different spin on them. I found some fabric at Spool of Thread and decided I'd make a set of napkins and use them to wrap the crackers. Why not? I could use a set of napkins, and it saves on a little paper mess during dinner too ;)

I've made the paper hat out of kraft wrapping paper, washi tape, and a paper punch. Each guest will have a felt decoration, that they can assemble, in their cracker. I found the felt decorations at Walrus

All the bits for the Christmas cracker. I found the snappers at a place called Urban Source, here in Vancouver.

I rolled back a bit of the contrasting fabric for a bit more pretty. Pale grey yarn to tie it all up. Voila.

I hope you have a fantastic holiday season! Thanks again Jan, for having me pop in on Poppytalk!
