Giveaway: a $50 77Kids by American Eagle gift card (and a chance to do good)

It's been months since Sabrina's dress boycott started. First she only wanted to wear Max's clothes. Now she's back to wearing her own t-shirts (short sleeves) and gray sweatpants. I am fine with this, though I adore seeing her in dresses and wish she'd wear them on occasion. So it was kinda heartening to go to an event for 77Kids by American Eagle and hear a clothing designer say that her little girl also refuses to wear dresses. I didn't get into the fact that Max is only wearing brown these days, head to toe.

Given the rather limited clothing diet my kids subsist on, I was glad for the invite to the 77Kids offices, and it didn't suck to get a gift card and fee. The clothes were refreshingly cutesy-free; they don't do precious, they do cool.

I'm showing these pics to the kids for fashion inspiration. Or I'm getting the What Not To Wear people to make a housecall. One of those. Meanwhile, at the event we learned about a 77Kids charity initiative happening now, Wish 4 Snow: You can donate 77 cents or more at the stores (there are 9 of them) and it will go to a local hospital. Your kid will get a snowflake, to be posted on a "blizzard" wall at the store, where she can make her holiday gift wishes known. This is what Sabrina wants, although I'm a little stumped as to why she did not specify half sour or sour:

There's also a site where kids can play a cute "catch a flake" game and design snowflakes. If 77Kids gets 100,000 flakes between now and December 14, the company will contribute an additional $25,000 to hospitals. Click here to check it out, and keep reading for the giveaway!
