Toronto International Design Festival

The Toronto International Design Festival kicks off today with lots of exciting exhibits happening at a variety of venues throughout the city this week. Here's a few we've got our eyes on.

Cut/Copy/Paste . Motherbrand presents two groundbreaking events that explore the act of sampling in Canadian design, plus additional must-see events.




Come Up to My Room at the Gladstone Hotel. CUTMR invites artists and designers to show us what goes on inside their heads. Coming together in dialogue and collaboration, participants are limited only by their imaginations, making CUTMR one of the most exciting design shows in Toronto. The four-day curated event is in its seventh year at the Gladstone Hotel, featuring 11 room and 14 public space installations.



MADE presents Radiant Dark 2010 - Assets & Values A modern, Canadian design exhibition featuring the work of 32 design studios. Shaun Moore and Julie Nicholson of MADE have conceived Radiant Dark as a series of independent, curated exhibitions. The 2010 theme Assets & Values is explored through the fresh vision of contemporary Canadian designers, makers, architects, artists and craftspeople.
