lots happening over at design sponge today, to start with, her january d*shop was launched which includes works from jill bliss, deanna bracken, little jenny, lena corwin and more!
she has also created a scholarship to award three students with prizes of at least $2,000, $1,000 and $500. the winners will be chosen by d*s readers and introduced on the site via podcast/video interviews and slideshows of their work. the goal is to support the next generation of great designers by raising money through the d*s shop, donations and sponsors.
also launching, is her woment to watch program which will feature talented women within the design industry throughout the year. this is a team effort with kristina from three layer cake and the goal is to have a place to chronicle women in design and their contributions over the next year.
